WHAT SHAPES
6.07.-29.09.2024: Group exhibition, Vico Pancellorum, Bagni di Lucca, Italy
The work created for this edition will be a “tapestry” shape made with recycled material, such as outdoor fabric that is normally placed under the gravel, pieces of found and preserved fabrics, shells and buttons.
The shape of Mother Earth as a seer, almost a beggar, a bit of a migrant in the sense of belonging to all the peoples who inhabit her. She becomes an allegorical figure that arouses sadness and compassion… she is weighed down, aged and patched up… worried about her situation that apparently has no way out. In her hands she holds a crystal ball: will she have the courage to consult it about her future? but… the future is in OUR hands.
